This great little bear has all the attributes of the traditional Steiff bear,fully 5 way jointed,long limbs,humped back,wonderful deep growling voice,beautiful thick red brown mohair coat.His paw pads are crafted from biscuit coloured felted wool,with four 'claws' carefully stitched onto each foot.
1908 was the year that the glass eye was introduced to the teddy bear world,then considered a real extravagence!!This bear has been created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of this innovation,and his eyes really do sparkle!Add to that his wonderful smile and you have a little bear with buckets of personality.

The Teddy Bear "Leopard" is the first in a series of 3 bears created by the artist Peter Lorenz,for the 2005 Teddy Bear parade in Giengen.(The original was 1.2 metres tall and made of fibre-glass).
Is Teddy Bear Leopard a teddy bear,or a big cat?He certainly has all the attributes of the traditional Steiff bear,fully 5 way jointed,long limbs,humped back,wonderful deep growling voice.But it is his exotic colouring that makes him seem as if he has leapt straight from the jungle.
His short,dense,golden biscuit coloured alpaca coat has been carefully handpainted with the unmistakeable leopard spots,his black boot button eyes are backed with yellow felt with airbrush detailing for that distinctly feline look.Teddy Leopard's paw pads are crafted from golden coloured felted wool,his nose and mouth carefully stitched onto his long muzzle in a mid brown wool.
