All little girls play at shops,mine was a gift shop,but not any old gift shop.This shop was to be filled with beautiful things.
As I grew older,chance would have it that my very first proper job was in....a gift shop.This was to set me on my path towards Serendipity.
My employment never took me far from cards and gifts,and I picked up many valuable lessons along the way.But my dream was still with me,so on the 5th November 2002,I finally took the plunge,and Serendipity was born.
Naturally,I tried to incorporate all the good points from the various shops I had worked in over the years,plus some of the things I'd always wanted (how many gift shops do you know with armchairs for the customers??).
Some reading this may know me,and my shop,it's life first started on Bank Street in Falkirk,then in the York Arcade in Grangemouth,and now finally (hopefully!!),York Lane in Grangemouth.(Many thanks to all family,friends and customers who have supported me along the way).
So finally I have the shop I always dreamed of(well there's always a little fine tuning!!),I still trade as Serendipity,Falkirk Collectables is merely an extension of this.
I am primarily,and always will be,a shopkeeper.My career has been based on offering the general public friendly,personal service.I hope to continue to do so,albeit through the medium of the web,you can be assured of the same high level of personal service that you would expect from my 'real shop'.

A browse through my shop will give you an idea,I have pretty eclectic taste,but all my choices have one thing in common,beauty and quality.We are far from the cheapest on the net,but the products that I sell deserve not to be devalued.Here you will find world famous brands such as the renowned German teddy bear manufacturer Steiff,the charming and evergreen Snowbabies by Department 56,Most Sincerely by Demdaco,Charlie Bears,(bears with personality!!),the fantastic  Lenox Disney Showcase Collection,and much more.
